Powercopy parallel cable: Transfer speed.
( Tested between two Pentium I 266MHz(WIN95) and 333MHz(WIN98) transfering a 100MB ZIP-File)

ECP-FDMA(***) ECP-FDMA(***) 72 seconds ( ~1400 kB/s wow!!!)
ECP-DMA(**) ECP-DMA(**) 101 seconds ( ~1000 kB/s (wow!)
ECP(*) ECP(*) 162 seconds (~600 kB/s)
Capability of computers made in 1992-1994

EPP(Buffer Version 1.9) ECP-DMA(**) 253 seconds (~400 kB/s
EPP(Buffer Version 1.9) EPP(Buffer Version 1.9) 342 seconds (~300 kB/s)
Bidirectional ECP-DMA(**) 492 seconds (~200 kB/s)
Bidirectional Bidirectional 671 seconds (~150 kB/s)

The normal transfer speed between two Windows NT/2000/XP computers (ECP-ECP) is currently about 500 000 bytes a second.
The two computers need not have the same parallel port mode selected!
The speed is always limited by the slowest parallel port mode!
99,5% of all 386-486 Pentium and PII PIII..., Cyrix, AMD, mono and multi processor based computer, running DOS Windows3.x, Windows for Workgroups, Windows 95,98,ME,NT4 or Windows 2000..., can be connected with Powercopy.
If you want to use Powercopy without sharing it with your printers you can buy an additional addon card at us or in almost every computer store.
To use the file transfer feature every PC has to have at least one parallel printer interface.
